Shiatsu is a blend of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese bodywork. It is the physical therapy in Japan and is wildly recognized across the world.

The Shiatsu style performed at the Pagoda del Loto Azul is Zen Shiatsu or Shiatsu of the acupuncture meridians. It has been perfectioned by a Japanese doctor named Shizuto Namikoshi and today it’s the most effective form of bodywork, ranging from dynamic full body realignment and joints work to soft, relaxing treatments for emotional rebalance and organ related work.

Shiatsu is a extremely powerful tool to overcome all sorts of ailments taking into consideration recent lifestyle changes, physical ailments/needs and diet.

Shiatsu is best wearing loose comfortable clothing and is performed on a mat on the yoga floor, allowing full range of body movement and support. Glauco is a well seasoned practitioner with over 30 years of experience and is now now passing all his knowledge to students in his "Shiatsu Academy Costa Rica" based in Uvita.
